Amy C. Hand
Amy Hand has been practicing law since 1994 and is a licensed attorney in both the States of Colorado and Michigan. Amy received her undergraduate degree in Political Science/Pre-Law from Michigan State University and her law degree from Drake University. Amy worked for the firm for several years after law school before returning to Michigan to practice law. She returned to the firm in 2005 to continue her practice in Grand Junction.
Amy and her husband chose the Western Slope of Colorado to raise a family because of the welcoming and supportive community, in combination with the unique landscape and unlimited outdoor activities.
Professionally, Amy’s practice concentrates primarily in the area of family law and divorce law; however, she also provides compassionate advocacy in a variety of areas of civil practice. Amy’s efficient, professional and caring approach can make your legal matter a less difficult and more cost-effective process.
Mark Hand
Mark Hand joined Hand Law, P.C. in September 2019. Originally from Indiana, Mark graduated from Drake University School of Law in 1994 and is licensed to practice law in both the States of Colorado and Michigan. Prior to joining Hand Law, P.C., Mark worked for the Mesa County Attorney’s Office and the Twenty-first Judicial District Attorney’s Office for nearly twenty years.
In 2009, Mark was named Chief Deputy District Attorney, a position he held until leaving the District Attorney’s Office in 2019, supervising crimes against children, juveniles, drug crimes, and higher-level felony cases.
Mark brings attention to detail and extensive trial experience to his private practice after successfully prosecuting many high-profile cases and several first-degree murder cases. In 2018, Mark was recognized as the State of Colorado’s Outstanding Prosecution Team of the year. Mark’s practice areas include criminal defense, family law, civil litigation, and probate.
