Amy C. Hand

Amy Hand has been practicing law since 1994 and is a licensed attorney in both the States of Colorado and Michigan. Amy received her undergraduate degree in Political Science/Pre-Law from Michigan State University and her law degree from Drake University. Amy worked for the firm for several years after law school before returning to Michigan to practice law. She returned to the firm in 2005 to continue her practice in Grand Junction.

Amy and her husband chose the Western Slope of Colorado to raise a family because of the welcoming and supportive community, in combination with the unique landscape and unlimited outdoor activities.

Professionally, Amy’s practice concentrates primarily in the area of family law and divorce law; however, she also provides compassionate advocacy in a variety of areas of civil practice. Amy’s efficient, professional and caring approach can make your legal matter a less difficult and more cost-effective process.

Mark R. Hand

Mark Hand joined Hand Law, P.C. in September 2019. Originally from Indiana, Mark graduated from Drake University School of Law in 1994 and is licensed to practice law in both the States of Colorado and Michigan. Prior to joining Hand Law, P.C., Mark worked for the Mesa County Attorney’s Office and the Twenty-first Judicial District Attorney’s Office for nearly twenty years.

In 2009, Mark was named Chief Deputy District Attorney, a position he held until leaving the District Attorney’s Office in 2019, supervising crimes against children, juveniles, drug crimes, and higher-level felony cases.

Mark brings attention to detail and extensive trial experience to his private practice after successfully prosecuting many high-profile cases and several first-degree murder cases. In 2018, Mark was recognized as the State of Colorado’s Outstanding Prosecution Team of the year. Mark’s practice areas include criminal defense, family law, civil litigation, and probate.

Jordyn C. Fox

Jordyn Fox has been practicing law since 2024 and is a licensed attorney in Colorado and Oklahoma. Jordyn received her undergraduate degree in English Literature and Business from the University of Colorado (sko buffs!) and her law degree from the University of Tulsa. While in law school, Jordyn served as the Vice President of the Board of Advocates, an officer for the Public Interest Board, and received the Order of the Barristers. Since law school, Jordyn has worked for multiple family law firms, where she developed a passion for advocacy and helping clients navigate the family court system. As a Grand Junction native, Jordyn returned to the valley with her husband and family, where she began working for Hand Law.

Jordyn is a skilled trial attorney known for thorough preparation and an individualized approach. Jordyn works closely with her clients to navigate challenging times with confidence.

Outside the office, Jordyn enjoys traveling with her family, reading, and exploring new coffee shops. Jordyn is actively involved in the Grand Junction Lions Club and serves as a board member for the Pro Bono Project of Mesa County.
